Doyle Bruson was a MVP athlete for Hardin Simmons University and was on his way to be drafted to the NBA but didnt because of a tragic factory accident. He was to be inducted to the Athletics Hall of Fame but was rejected because of the Universities religious belief agains gambling. But on October 16th Doyle is reconsidered and will be inducted into the Hardin Simmons University Athletics Hall of Fame

The jackpot is created much like a traditional Texas Hold'em jackpot with $0.50 collected from qualifying hands and will continue to grow until someone loses a hand with four eights or better while seated at a Bad Beat Jackpot table. When that happens the prize is divided among the players where the beat occurred.

After receiving criticism for his comments against Las Vegas conventions a total of 400 cancelled Las Vegas conventions and meetings, costing the local economy over $100 million. Jim Gibbons demanded an apology from the President himself but President Obama appears interested in no such thing. Obama made a surprise visit to the city and was greeted no other than the mayor himself.
Partygaming settles with US Government

PartyGaming has reached a settlement with the US government that will see them avoiding any future prosecution. As a part of their settlement they’ll pay $105m in fines by September 2012. PartyGaming share has increased 16 percent and many feel that the settlement will restore faith in the gaming industry.

MGM suffering from a 1.15 billion fourth quarter loss after shrinking gambling revenue forced them into major financial reconstruction. MGM is trying hard to stay afloat from its financial situation, but many doubt that the company will ever survive as MGM's stocks continued to decrease.
Moscow gambling ban outsmarted

A city wide ban on gambling will be announced in Moscow in July 1st. The Russin government plans to relocate the gambling industry in four zones. 90% of casinos are planning to continue operating in the capital as restaurants, concert halls and entertainment centers. Some plan to slide under the gambling ban as poker clubs since poker is considered a sport in Moscow.
