Tyron Krost has been named the 2010 Aussie Millions Main Event Champion. Krost is only the second Australian to win the tournament since it began. However, now the Aussies seem to be on a streak. Last year’s winner Stewart Scott was also a homegrown player. This year, 23-year old Krost beat out 746 players over the five day tournament to bring home the title. Along with the title he takes back to Sydney $2 million in prize money. While Krost faced tough competition all the way through, things got especially tough for the young player at the end. The final table included Sorel Mizzi, Peter Jetten and Annete Obrestad. Going in, it was actually Mizzi who held the chip lead. However, Krost outlasted them all to take home the title of Aussie Millions champion.
