UltimateBet and Absolute Poker fans should be happy to know that the parent company of both sites, the CEREUS online poker network, is making major changes to improve both sites.
First, they’re bringing in a synchronized break system for multi-table tournaments. This will allow players playing at more than one table to take a coordinated five-minute break at the 55th minute of every hour.
While every hand must be finished before breaking, tournaments that are operating under the synchronized break system will break at five minutes to every hour, regardless of what time a tournament started.
Players who like to spend their time at multi-table tournaments will no longer need to worry about missing hands if they need to use the bathroom or need to grab a snack.
Instead of trying to tackle the nearly impossibly task of staying at their computers until all their tournaments are done, this new break system will allow them to leave all of their games at once, as a group, without missing anything.
Players will be able to check the site lobby to see which tournaments have this synchronized break feature enabled.
CEREUS has also announced its introduction of the ‘Raise To’ button to both sites. This button allows players to simply enter the amount they’d like to raise, and click the ‘Raise To’ button. It prevents players from needing to perform addition during the game and turns raising into a two step process.
It also allows players to raise to a certain amount without subtracting their bet already on the table. Unlike the coordinated break feature, this button is becoming quite common, so this addition has acted more to bring the two sites up to industry standards.
