UltimateBet is still in big trouble with the public after their very publicized ‘insider cheating’ scandal last year.
While the online gaming giant has worked hard to repair its image, many are still very distrustful of the site.
This makes the fact that poker pro Joe Sebok has decided to represent the site very shocking news. It also has the poker community was up in arms.
Many attacked Sebok for the partnership and everyone has been waiting to see how he’d react to the criticism.
Sebok has decided to respond by taking to his blog. He defends UltimateBet, reporting that they’ll soon release all hand histories associated with the cheating:
“UB is currently working to catch up on all past historical requests…once your request has been processed you should expect a summary version of the information first. It'll be a spreadsheet that details every hand you specifically played against each of the identified 117 cheating accounts. This will be a complete record of all those hands so that you can go through and verify the refund amounts yourselves. This will act as a summary as we want to get something out to you while the actual detailed hand histories are processed, which obviously takes longer.”
Sebok warns that while UltimateBet is going through affected accounts as quickly as possible, the large volume of requests may take some time to process. He also cautions players who have send in requests:
“Some hand histories will go out quickly as they won't contain as many hands as others. Some players have played a ridiculous amount of hands however and that will take a longer amount of time to process.”
If you suspect you may have been affected by the insider cheating, e-mail pokersecurity@ultimatebet.com and include in your email: your name, address, and your user name.
While UltimateBet is working on all previous requests, Sebok suggests sending them another e-mail request just to ‘lock it up’.
