PokerStars.com has just broken a world record by once again hosting the world’s largest online poker tournament. The world’s largest online poker site set the record once before when they hosted a tournament for 35,000 players on December 28, 2008. On July 19th they nearly doubled their record when they held a tournament for 65,000 players from 155 countries around the world. The tournament attracted players with a buy-in of only $1 and a guaranteed prize pool of $130,000. Top prize was $13,000 but 16,250 players cashed in overall. The winner of the $13,000 prize ‘004 License’ says that PokerStars is the only site he plays on as “they give all players, even us part time and low star rated players an equal chance to win.”
