CASINO POINT EDWARD: SLOT SHIFT MANAGER

Job Description: Position Summary:
Manage slot operations in compliance with AGCO and other applicable municipal, provincial and federal laws and regulations. Assist in maintaining good public relations with customers and maintain an open door policy with employees. Comply with safety and security standards of the corporation while orientating staff to operations and complying with pre-determined internal control procedures.
Major Responsibility Areas:
• Manage and develop an effective staff to meet and exceed performance expectations by establishing and maintaining a positive work environment and effective employee relations.
• Make recommendations in the hiring, training, evaluating, rewarding and apply disciplinary or corrective counselling to staff.
• Strictly adhere to all policies and procedures as outlined by the departmental or Internal Control Manual and/or provincial legislation.
• Verify the Jackpot transactions as outlined in the Internal Control Manual.
• Assist with the administration of the departmental budget by monitoring use of overtime, tracking of scheduled hours, managing operating expense, etc.
• Promote and maintain the utmost integrity and the highest calibre of Customer Service and respect to all customers, employees and OLG personnel.
• Monitor, develop and review all policies and procedures ensuring that operational requirements are being met or enhanced.
• Maintain general awareness of gaming operation at all times and comply with security policies and procedures in order to secure company assets.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment. Comply with safety procedures including use of required safety equipment and identify unsafe practices or conditions.
