The successful candidate will have responsibility for managing full life-cycle recruiting projects across the Harrah’s New Orleans property. They will be hands on in all phases of the recruiting process, including, search intake, writing job descriptions, directing search strategy, research and identification of both active and passive candidates, screening and assessment of candidates, interviewing and making job offers to those candidates. Functional recruiting areas could include IT, Marketing, HR and Finance. Specific responsibilities include:
•Develop excellent and productive relationships with all the stakeholders required to build a world-class recruiting operation.
•Implement recruiting processes that align with our evolving needs - This will require gaining active buy-in and involvement from key stakeholders throughout the Harrah’s property
•Actively develop and maintain a network of contacts to help identify and source qualified candidates
•Identify candidates using the latest online recruiting sources and methodologies
•Initiate contact with both passive and active candidates for specific positions
•Screen and assess candidates to obtain work history, education, training, job skills, and salary requirements, and to provide information about their past organizations and positions
•Perform reference checks on applicants during the recruitment process
•Maintain applicant records using Hodes IQ system
•Complete verbal and written offers
•Develop and maintain contact with schools, alumni groups, and other public organizations to find and attract applicants
Harrah’s Entertainment is looking for a seasoned recruiter who can work independently throughout the recruiting process. This individual must be a creative, high energy, hands on professional who can successfully multitask in a fast-paced environment. Additional characteristics include:
•5 to 7 years of corporate, college or executive level recruiting experience
•Experience working in-house in a complex mid to large company and/or retained search firm experience
•Demonstrated experience in developing robust talent pools to include diverse candidates
•Must have experience managing client relationships at the Director/VP level
•Proven track record of filling positions with high quality candidates within aggressive time constraints
