Job Description: Specific Job Functions:
•Maintain a working knowledge of menu items and recipes
•Work rapidly and accurately
•Utilize proper food handling techniques following Health and Safety Standards
•Maintain proper stocking of assigned station and know the mise en place
•Clean, maintain and organize work area
•Assist Chef in menu preparation, service and breakdown of function
•Maintain the ability to work in public on live stations and maintain proper appearance standards
•Obtain and perfect skills set to be promotional to Master Cook
•Perform all duties as deemed necessary for the success of the department
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
•Minimum one (1) year high-volume cooking / fine dining experience preferred
•Must be capable of following directions
•Possess good recall and memory
•Must have knowledge of kitchen equipment, good knife skills and possess a full knife set
•Must be able to communicate effectively in English, in both written and oral forms.
•Must have interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts.
•Maintain a professional, neat and well-groomed appearance, adhering to Mirage standards.
•Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
•High School diploma or equivalent is required.
•Proof of eligibility to work in the United States.

It is the primary responsibility of the Cook – Paradise Cafe to prepare hot food items according to the main kitchen menu, recipe standards and customer request while ensuring preparation and service are of the highest possible quality in a timely manner. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and property policies, practices, and procedures.
