THE MIRAGE: CONFERENCE SALES MANAGER

Job Description: Specific Job Functions:
•Solicit group bookings, corporate meetings and other necessary functions in relation to their groups on behalf of the hotel and contracts
•Provide sales, services and coordination of group events with Hotel, Catering, Casino and other related departments to facilitate needs and prevent conflicts in scheduling
•Conduct and escort site inspections and Familiarization Trips
•Maintain close contact with Travel Agents, Meeting Planners and Corporate clients to ensure customer retention
•Meet or exceed room revenue and food and beverage quotas
•Cooperate with others in matters of mutual concern
•Interact with departments to ensure consistency in projects
•Manage the delivery and measurement of guest service within assigned department(s) consistent with the company’s core service standards and brand attributes
•Work directly with clients regarding menu planning, room set-up, decor, cost and billing details and other requirements pertinent to their programs
•Ensure necessary meeting facilities are reserved, where applicable
•Host prospective clients visiting the hotel to include customer entertainment such as dining in hotel restaurants and accompanying to shows
•Provide input into the research, development, evaluation and implementation of new products, services, technology and processes to ensure properties competitive position and in anticipation of changing customer needs within the dynamic hospitality and gaming environment
•Create awareness and actively sell and solicit goods and services of the Hotel / Casino through attendance at local trade shows and other local industry functions
•Maintain thorough knowledge of competitor’s products and pricing
•Perform all duties as deemed necessary for the success of the department |
