Job Description: Minimum Qualifications:
•Must have 2 years experience in the Security Department (with previous supervisory experience an asset) AND/OR 2 years proven supervisory experience in another work place or department.
•Ability to demonstrate use of the fire alarm system, access control and security cameras.
•Proficient in Word and keyboarding (will be tested).
•Working knowledge of Excel an asset.
•Must have consistently demonstrated enhanced GEM skills with both staff and guests.
•Ability to promote interdepartmental communication.
•Demonstrates healthy and safe workplace practices in compliance with the OHS Act.
•Ability to handle difficult guest situations.
•Good judgement and decision making skills.
•Problem solving abilities.
•Coaching & Counselling Skills.
•Ability to plan and schedule work and personnel.
•Available to work various shifts. |

Casino Nova Scotia, Halifax is currently recruiting for Security Shift Manager. The successful candidate will oversee all phases of the security operation. Provides on-going training and back-up to Security Officers as well as filling in for the Manager in his/her absence.
