all my friends that have gone to vegas, just partied and gambled their butts off. to me it doesn't seem like a place where you can just kick back and enjoy, unless you got money. i wouldn't mind checking it out one day, but i do have reservations about it. who else has been to vegas here? what was your experience like?

I have been to vegas 3 times, my favourite hotel is Mandalay Bay, though i have never stayed in there. I definitely want to head back sometime and stay there. As for casinos down there, my favourite one is the Caesar Palace, they got lots of slots machines, which is the only thing that i play really, not into tables, and it's usually not too too crowded so I don't have to wait around for a free machine. I know that they have expanded their hotel recently, gotta go down again soon to check it out

its pretty interesting to watch how the city is changing. my previous impression of vegas was older crowds with nothing to do but gambling and sit around drinking martinis watching wayne newton all night. this is all from watching ads and impressions from tv but: the shows seem to have changed now, there's more stuff for famillies, and there's even more stuff for the 20 - 30 something crowds (all the cirque shows, more big time DJ's, adventure sports, etc.). the young crowd isn't broke either, just look at the ticket prices for these shows they're astronomical. although gambling is still the big bucks, they certainly have monetized the city better and made it more appealing/entertaining in the process. anyways...ramble ramble
